Financial Values
From the prompt given to us by our client, we were tasked to look into existing financial systems that are in a market oversaturated with technological products and services.
We were asked to target students or those who recently graduated with the twist of connecting their values, personal choices, and reputation to financial behaviors.
From the prompt, we created this question:
How might we help college students or the newly graduated save in a way that focuses on their values and increases their happiness?
This is a video showing the user flow in the integrated app. We chose the Chase app branding as this bank is used by nearly half of US households.
The beginning of the video shows the entry point from the Chase app into the integrated savings app.
Users are asked what do they stand for? We want the user to link their values to saving goals.
The users are given a short description of the value and examples.
They can choose from pre-generated goals or customize their own goal.
The plant grows as the user has saved 20% of their goal.
The next screen shows the plant where 50% of the goal has been saved.
When the user has made three deposits in one month, the plant starts to grow fruit.
When the user has not made a deposit in two months, the plant is unhealthy and begins to wilt.
From the menu, the user can edit their goal, request a gift, or go to their garden.
The garden shows the user’s values they are saving for.
If the user selects a value, they can see all the goals they are saving for under that value.
